Carrier recorded two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.
Carrier hadn't gotten on the scoresheet since Opening Night, though he did have an injury scare earlier in October. The 30-year-old defenseman has a goal, three assists, 10 shots on net, 14 blocked shots, six hits, six PIM and a plus-3 rating over eight appearances. In deeper fantasy formats, Carrier is a solid source of blocks with a little bit of depth scoring.

Carrier (undisclosed) is expected to play against Carolina on Tuesday, per Stu Cowan of The Montreal Gazette.
Carrier logged only 8:32 of ice time in Saturday's 6-5 overtime loss to Pittsburgh. However, he participated fully in Monday's practice and is good to go for Tuesday's matchup against the Hurricanes. Carrier has one goal, two points, three shots on net, two blocked shots and one hit in two appearances this season.

The Canadiens didn't reveal the nature of Carrier's injury. The 29-year-old defenseman has earned two points over two appearances so far this season. If he can't play Tuesday versus the Hurricanes, Adam Engstrom would likely draw into the lineup.

Carrier isn't known for his offense -- his seven goals last season equaled his total for the previous three campaigns. Additionally, his last game-winner came in 2023-24 when he wore a Nashville uniform. In fact, he has just four GWG in 370 games. Carrier's best fantasy category is his ability to block pucks -- he delivered a career high of 155 last season. However, one-category wonders don't make for great fantasy assets.
