Turcotte (undisclosed) has been upgraded to day-to-day according to head coach Peter Laviolette, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site on Friday.
Turcotte's day-to-day status doesn't guarantee he'll be in action versus the Penguins on Saturday, but it is certainly a step in the right direction. In three games this season, the 25-year-old center recorded just one shot to go with one assist, four hits and one block. Considering the Illinois native has never played more than 70 games in a season and has failed to reach the 30-point threshold in his career, fantasy managers may not be too worried about his return-to-play timeline.

Turcotte (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Kings on Saturday.
Prior to the injury, Turcotte was off to a solid start to the 2026-27 campaign, where he had an assist, a plus-1 rating, four PIM, a shot on goal and four hits across three appearances. He had been operating as the Kings' second-line center alongside Alex Laferriere and Trevor Moore. With the move to injured reserve, Turcotte will be sidelined for at least a week, meaning his next chance to play will be next Saturday against the Bruins. In his absence, Samuel Helenius will likely be a regular name in the Kings' lineup.

Head coach Peter Laviolette said Friday that Turcotte is considered day-to-day due to an undisclosed injury, Alexander Legget of MayorsManor.com reports.
Turcotte appeared in each of the Kings' first three games of the regular season, recording an assist, four hits, four PIM and a blocked shot while averaging 14:06 of ice time. However, he didn't practice Friday, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Saturday's game against Vegas.

Turcotte missed eight consecutive games to close out the regular season, but will be available for the Kings' first-round playoff series opener. He was cleared for action Saturday alongside Jeff Malott (undisclosed) and Andrei Kuzmenko (knee), but all three likely won't be in the lineup together. Turcotte will sit out his eighth straight game with the injury. He has three goals and 11 assists across 62 regular-season games this season. The 25-year-old was selected fifth overall in 2019 and with 13 goals and 30 assists over 162 regular-season games across parts of five seasons in the NHL, Turcotte has to be considered a disappointment.
