Gaudette (upper body) was activated from injured reserve and is available to play in Saturday's home clash against the Oilers, per the NHL media site.
Gaudette has been given the green light to return from his upper-body injury. The 30-year-old forward put together solid numbers with the Sharks in 2025-26, posting 17 goals, 25 points, 96 shots on net, 53 hits and 33 blocked shots in 66 regular-season outings. It remains to be seen whether he'll play Saturday, but he'll likely make his 2026-27 debut soon.

Gaudette has missed San Jose's opening four games because of the injury. The Sharks' lineup for Saturday has no shortage of question marks because Macklin Celebrini (lower body) and Kiefer Sherwood (upper body) are both listed as game-time decisions, in addition to the uncertainty regarding Gaudette. If Gaudette is able to play Saturday, then he'll likely serve in a bototm-six capacity.

Gaudette has three goals over the last six games. The 29-year-old forward is up to 17 goals, 25 points, 91 shots on net, 49 hits, 32 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 61 appearances this season. Gaudette has primarily featured in a bottom-six role in his first year with the Sharks, but he has a knack for scoring goals, giving him some value in deep fantasy formats.

This was Gaudette's third goal and fourth point since the beginning of March, and while it's hard to ask for a lot of fantasy production from a fourth-line forward, it's clear the 29-year-old forward came through when the Sharks needed him the most. He scored the game-winning goal with a wrister with 22 seconds left in the game. However, with only 16 goals and 24 points across 59 regular-season appearances, Gaudette doesn't have a lot of fantasy appeal in most formats, especially with the regular season entering its final stretch.
