Pop signed a minor-league contract with the Marlins on Friday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Pop elected free agency last weekend after being DFA'd by the Phillies, and he'll now attempt to carve out a role for himself in the Marlins organization. The 29-year-old righty gave up three earned runs in 7.1 innings during his time with Philadelphia, but he's given up eight runs in eight frames at Triple-A. If he turns things around at Jacksonville, he could be welcomed into Miami's bullpen at some point.

Pop elected free agency after being outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday.
Pop was designated for assignment by the Phillies on May 30 on the same day that he was reinstated from the 10-day injured list due to a calf strain. He has opted to enter free agency after he was not claimed off waivers, and Pop will have the opportunity to sign with a team in need of right-handed depth out of the bullpen. Pop has a 3.68 ERA and 1.09 WHIP across 7.1 innings in the majors this season.

The Phillies reinstated Pop (calf) from the injured list Saturday and designated him for assignment.
Pop landed on the injured list in mid-April after suffering a right calf strain during a spot start. He's been deemed fully healthy after making seven rehab outings in the minors, but his activation will also bring his removal from the 40-man roster since the team needed to clear room for Max Lazar (oblique). The 29-year-old Pop has given up three earned runs over 7.1 innings in the big leagues this season but owns a 9.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP at Triple-A.

Pop (calf) began a rehab assignment Saturday, throwing a clean inning for Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Pop has been sidelined by a strained right calf since mid-April, but he's gearing up for his return to the Phillies. The right-hander will presumably need a handful of rehab outings before Philadelphia considers reinstating him from the injured list. Over 7.1 innings on the year, Pop has a 3.68 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 6:3 K:BB while working mostly in middle relief.

The Phillies placed Pop on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a right calf strain.
Pop evidently suffered the injury during an opener assignment Sunday against the Diamondbacks. He will be eligible for activation April 28, but it's too soon to know whether he will be back on that date. Kyle Backhus has taken Pop's spot on the roster and in the Philadelphia bullpen.

Pop is slated to serve as the Phillies' opening pitcher in Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Andrew Painter had been lined up to start the series finale but was a late scratch due to a migraine. Pop hasn't covered more than an inning in any of his appearances so far, so he's not expected to provide the Phillies with much length in his first career MLB start.
