  • Bericoto went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, a walk and two total runs scored in Saturday's 10-4 loss to the Dodgers.

This was Bericoto's second game and first start back in the lineup after a nearly month-long absence due to a knee injury. The outfielder served as the designated hitter and got both of his hits off Tarik Skubal. Bericoto is batting .253 with a .731 OPS, five homers, 14 RBI, nine runs scored, four doubles and one stolen base over 35 games in the majors. • The Giants reinstated Bericoto (knee) from the injured list Friday.

Bericoto began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Sacramento on Sept. 9 and went 9-for-27 with two RBI and four runs scored over seven games. Now fully recovered from the bone bruise in his right knee, the 24-year-old will rejoin the active roster to replace Nate Furman (oblique) on San Francisco's bench.

  • Bericoto (knee) went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Triple-A Sacramento's 6-2 loss to Las Vegas on Thursday.

After being placed on the 10-day injured list Aug. 24 with a bone bruise in his right knee, Bericoto returned to game action in Sacramento's 1-0 loss to Las Vegas on Wednesday, going 0-for-4. He reached base safely Thursday, hitting a leadoff single in the sixth inning before coming around to score. • Bericoto (knee) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Bericoto has gradually built up his workload over the past week as he recovers from a bone bruise in his right knee, and he's now been cleared to test his knee in a true game setting. He'll likely need a handful of minor-league at-bats after spending a little more than two weeks on the injured list, but he could still return sometime in mid-September.

  • The Giants announced Tuesday that Bericoto (knee) has begun a hitting and throwing progression and will start running later this week, MLB.com reports.

On the shelf since Aug. 24 due to a right knee bone bruise, Bericoto is eligible for activation at any point, but he looks like he still has a few more checkpoints to hit in his rehab program before rejoining the Giants. Bericoto appeared to have faded into the short side of a platoon in left field prior to landing on the injured list.

  • Bericoto was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a bone bruise in his right knee, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Bericoto suffered a knee injury during Sunday's matchup and was forced from the game, and the team has since determined that he'll require a trip to the injured list. Grant McCray, who was promoted Monday, and Jonah Cox could see more opportunities in the corner outfield spots with Bericoto out of commission.
