  • Phillips did not factor into the decision in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Cubs, allowing no runs on three hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out two.

Phillips recorded his second consecutive scoreless outing Thursday against Chicago. The 28-year-old righty has posted solid numbers over his last seven games with a 2.25 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 25:16 K:BB over 28 innings. Assuming this is Phillips' final appearance of the campaign, he'll finish 2026 with a 5-6 record, 3.34 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 101:56 K:BB over 126.2 innings.

  • Phillips allowed two hits and a walk while striking out three over 3.2 scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Friday.

Phillips put in a good performance but exited at 50 pitches (31 strikes). He's now at 122.2 innings this season -- he worked 155.1 frames in 2024 but just 77.2 innings as a reliever in 2025, so it's possible the Marlins are managing his workload a bit. The 28-year-old is now at a 3.45 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 99:52 K:BB over 36 appearances (19 starts) this year. He's tentatively projected for one more start in 2026, which is lined up to be on the road against the Cubs.

  • Phillips did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks with three strikeouts over 3.2 innings.

Phillips allowed back-to-back homers in the first inning but did keep the Dodgers in check from there despite throwing just 37 of 68 pitches for strikes. It marked the first time the 28-year-old failed to complete at least four frames in a game he started since July 12, and he's now yielded three earned runs or fewer in five straight outings. He owns a 3.55 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 96:51 K:BB across 119 innings this season and lines up for a road matchup with the Padres next weekend.

  • Phillips (5-6) earned the win against the Cubs on Sunday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out three.

Following a pair of scoreless innings, Phillips gave up one run in each of his next three frames. The right-hander has reached the 90-pitch threshold just twice this season and has worked into the sixth inning just three times in 17 starts, so he's had little streaming appeal. He'll take a 3.51 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 93:48 K:BB over 115.1 innings into his next appearance, which lines up to be a tough matchup against the Dodgers.

  • Phillips (4-6) earned the win Tuesday against the Royals, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out four over five scoreless innings.

Phillips surrendered a leadoff single to Carter Jensen in the first inning but held Kansas City without another knock the rest of the way. The one hit marked his fewest in any outing of at least five innings this season. The right-hander has now allowed two earned runs or fewer in nine of his last 10 appearances and will carry a 3.43 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 90:47 K:BB across 110.1 innings into his next scheduled start Sunday against the Cubs.

  • Phillips didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-3 extra-innings loss to the Red Sox, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out seven.

The seven Ks were a season high and tied Phillips' career high, but they also ran up his pitch count and forced an early exit after 84 pitches (55 strikes). The right-hander has given up two earned runs or fewer in eight of his last nine trips to the mound but has lasted longer than five innings only once in that time, posting a 3.72 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB in 36.1 innings. He'll look to earn his first win since Aug. 1 in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road early next week against the Nationals.
