The Twins acquired Nance from the Blue Jays in exchange for Ryan Sprock on Friday, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reports.
The Blue Jays will also acquire international bonus pool money as part of the trade. The 35-year-old Nance will help bolster Minnesota's bullpen after he produced a 3.82 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB across 33 innings for Toronto during the first half of the season. He was a big part of the Blue Jays' relief mix down the stretch last season, recording a 1.99 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 32:7 K:BB over 31.2 frames during the 2025 regular season.

The Blue Jays activated Nance (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Monday.
Nance has been shelved since mid-May with right forearm discomfort but is ready to rejoin the Blue Jays bullpen following one rehab appearance with Triple-A Buffalo. The 35-year-old will operate in a middle-relief role.

Nance (forearm) threw live batting practice Tuesday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Nance was cleared to begin throwing off a mound Thursday, and he seems to be making considerable progress in his recovery given that he's now facing live hitters. He's scheduled to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, and a return from the injured list may come shortly thereafter.

Manager John Schneider said Tuesday that the outlook for Nance's forearm injury is a "best case" scenario, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Nance can begin throwing again later in the week to work through his forearm discomfort. The right-hander has been a valuable piece for the Toronto bullpen with a 1.99 ERA in 30 regular-season appearances in 2025 and a 3.86 across 20 appearances in 2026.

The Blue Jays placed Nance on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to right forearm discomfort.
Nance tossed a clean inning with one strikeout Saturday versus Detroit, but he appears to have come away from that outing with a sore forearm. The right-hander has been working primarily in low-leverage situations for Toronto, notching one hold while posting a 3.86 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 25:8 K:BB over 21 innings spanning 20 appearances. Lefty reliever Adam Macko was called up from Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday to take Nance's spot in the big-league bullpen.

Nance (0-1) took the loss Thursday against the Brewers, giving up one run on one hit and two walks over two-thirds of an inning. He didn't strike out a batter.
The 35-year-old right-hander gave up a couple baserunners after replacing Patrick Corbin in the sixth inning with the score tied 1-1, but he was able to escape without giving up a run. Nance wasn't so lucky in the seventh -- a leadoff walk to Garrett Mitchell wound up leading to the game-winning run after three straight bunts by Milwaukee. Nance isn't part of Toronto's usual high-leverage crew, and while he does have a 9:4 K:BB through 7.2 innings to begin the season, that comes with a 7.04 ERA and 1.83 WHIP.
