  • Pannone cleared waivers Thursday and was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The 32-year-old lefty was designated for assignment last Friday following DL Hall's return from the injured list. Pannone has the right to elect free agency, though it's unknown whether he will do so or remain in the Brewers organization as a minor-league depth piece.

  • The Brewers designated Pannone for assignment Friday, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee reports.

Pannone was called up to make a spot start for the Brewers on Wednesday, during which he gave up three runs (two earned) across three innings. Now that his services are no longer required by the big club, he'll lose his place on the active and 40-man rosters to make room for DL Hall (pectoral), who returned from the injured list Friday.

  • Pannone (0-1) took the loss Wednesday against the Giants, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks over three innings. He struck out two.

Making his first appearance in the majors since 2023, Pannone got through the first inning unscathed before giving up a three-run homer to Daniel Susac in the second. Following Wednesday's spot start, the left-handed Pannone figures to head back to Triple-A Nashville, where he's posted a 3.96 ERA across 75 innings this season.

  • The Brewers selected Pannone's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Pannone will start Wednesday's game in San Francisco, presumably just to give the regular members of the Brewers' rotation some extra rest. The left-hander has logged a 4.13 ERA and 57:22 K:BB over 72 innings this season with Nashville. Pannone will be making his first appearance at the major-league level since 2023.

  • Pannone (forearm) struck out a batter and allowed three hits and no walks over three scoreless innings Thursday in his season debut for Triple-A Nashville after being reinstated from the 7-day injured list.

Pannone sustained a left forearm flexor strain last spring and spent the entire 2025 campaign on Nashville's IL, and though his rehab bled into the start of 2026, he missed just a few weeks of the Triple-A season before slotting back into the rotation. The southpaw will serve as organization depth for the Brewers this season, but his lack of a 40-man roster spot makes it unlikely that he'll see action with the big club at any point.

  • Pannone was diagnosed with a torn flexor tendon in his left forearm Saturday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The 30-year-old suffered the injury last weekend and will be shut down from throwing for at least one month. Pannone could miss the first couple months of the season before taking the mound for Triple-A Nashville.
