It was a brutal day on the mound for Gordon, with six of the 10 runs charged to the right-hander coming in the first inning. In his last four outings, Gordon's given up 26 earned runs in just 15 frames. He'll finish the year with a 6.68 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 85:24 K:BB over 103.2 innings.

Gordon (1-5) took the loss Thursday against the Padres, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and two walks in three innings. He struck out three.
Gordon was throttled early in hitter-friendly Colorado, surrendering each of his seven runs in the second inning. The right-hander gave up double-digit hits for a second consecutive start, and he's now coughed up at least four runs while working fewer than five innings in three straight outings. He'll take a 6.01 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 84:20 K:BB over 100.1 frames into his next scheduled appearance at home versus Arizona, which will likely be his final start of 2026.

Gordon allowed four runs on 10 hits and one walk while striking out five batters over four innings in a no-decision against Detroit on Saturday.
Of the Tigers' 10 hits against Gordon, four -- including a Kevin McGonigle solo homer -- went for extra bases. It was the second time this season the righty hurler has surrendered double-digit hits and the ninth time he's yielded at least four earned runs. Gordon had a promising two-start stretch to end August during which he gave up just two runs over 12 innings, but since then he's allowed nine runs across his subsequent two outings spanning 8.2 frames. He'll carry a season-long 5.55 ERA into his next start, which is tentatively slated to be a matchup versus San Diego at Coors Field.

Gordon allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out four over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals on Sunday.
Gordon was able to avoid giving up a home run, but a decent start fell apart in the fifth frame. Since the beginning of August, he's given up 20 runs (18 earned) over 35.1 innings across seven games, providing uneven performances, though the Coors Field effect has had a large role in that. Overall, he has a 5.40 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 76:17 K:BB through 93.1 innings over 21 games (nine starts). Gordon is projected to make his next appearance in Detroit.

Gordon completed five innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Monday, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out three batters.
Gordon was cruising until the fifth inning, when back-to-back Orioles doubles resulted in a run. The right-hander quickly rebounded, retiring the next three batters to keep the score tied 1-1. However, a lengthy rain delay before the sixth frame ended Gordon's outing at just 60 pitches (40 strikes). Though that brought an end to his bid for a second straight quality start, Gordon still posted a strong performance, and he ended an up-and-down August by allowing just two runs over 12 innings across his final two starts. He'll look to build on that momentum the next time he takes the mound, which is on track to be a home matchup against St. Louis.

Gordon (1-4) earned the win Wednesday, striking out five batters and allowing one earned run on six hits and no walks across seven innings against the Nationals.
Making his second straight turn through the rotation after a nearly month-long stint in the bullpen, Gordon delivered his best performance of the season for his first win. The 28-year-old fired a season-high seven frames in just his third scoreless outing of the year after he was promoted back to being a starter last week after Colorado released Michael Lorenzen. Gordon now has a 2.68 ERA over 40.1 innings away from Coors Field this year, though his next start lines up to come at home versus Baltimore.
