  • Manaea (6-8) took the loss Sunday against the Nationals, allowing five runs on seven hits and a walk across six innings. He struck out three.

It was a tough way to end the year for Manaea, who'd given up just four earned runs across 11.1 innings while striking out 15 in his previous two outings. The veteran left-hander will finish with a 4.78 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 144:44 K:BB across 150.2 innings this season. Manaea is under contract with the Mets again in 2027, though it remains to be seen whether or not he'll remain in the starting rotation.

  • Manaea (6-7) earned the win Tuesday against the Rangers after allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out nine over six innings. He also hit two batters.

Manaea allowed an RBI double to Josh Jung in the third before Texas scored twice without a hit in the fourth, aided by two passed balls and consecutive sacrifice flies. The veteran southpaw kept the Rangers scoreless over his final two innings, and New York's three-run sixth turned a 3-2 deficit into a 5-3 lead, allowing him to earn the win. Manaea matched his season high with nine strikeouts and lowered his ERA to 4.67. He's lined up to make his final start of the season Sunday on the road against the Nationals.

  • Manaea didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Orioles after allowing two runs on four hits while striking out six over 5.1 innings. He did not issue a walk.

Manaea surrendered solo homers to Christian Encarnacion-Strand and Jeremiah Jackson in the second inning but otherwise kept the Orioles quiet. More encouragingly, he didn't issue a walk for a second straight start and has done a good job of limiting free passes of late with just two walks in his last four starts and 21.2 innings. Manaea owns a 5.36 ERA since the beginning of August, and this marked his first outing since Aug. 9 with fewer than four runs allowed.

  • Manaea (5-7) earned the win against the Marlins on Tuesday, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out four across five innings. He did not issue a walk.

Manaea was in complete control for most of Tuesday's start, retiring the first 15 batters he faced while being handed a 6-0 lead by his Mets teammates. However, the left-hander's night took a turn for the worse in the sixth, when he allowed a hit to each of the first five batters he faced while being tagged for four runs. Luckily for Manaea, he received enough run support to come away with his fifth win of the season and third since the All-Star break. He's allowed at least four runs in each of his last five outings, and he'll take a 4.79 ERA and 1.34 WHIP over 133.1 innings into his next start, tentatively slated for next week at home against the Orioles.

  • Manaea (4-7) took the loss Tuesday, giving up five runs on 11 hits and a walk over 5.2 innings as the Mets fell 6-2 to the Rays. He struck out two.

It was the first time all season Manaea had allowed double-digit hits and four of them went for extra bases, including a Yandy Diaz solo shot in the sixth inning that helped chase the veteran lefty from the game. Manaea's midseason resurgence seems to have petered out -- he's been tagged for at least four earned runs in four straight trips to the mound, sagging to a 7.23 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 16:6 K:BB over 23.2 innings during that stretch. He'll try to turn things around in his next start, which lines up to come on the road early next week in Miami.
