  • Torrens went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two total runs and three total RBI in a 12-2 win against the Yankees on Saturday.

Torrens slugged one of six Mets homers in the contest, belting a two-run shot to left field in the second inning. In his past two games, the veteran backstop has gone 5-for-9 with two extra-base hits, four runs and seven RBI. Torrens is up to a .724 OPS through 86 contests on the campaign, which is in line for the second-highest OPS of his career. However, he's started just three times in New York's past eight games, as Francisco Alvarez remains the team's top catcher.

  • Torrens went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and four RBI in Wednesday's win over the Marlins.

The 30-year-old backstop was one of three Mets to collect three hits in a 15-run, 15-hit outburst from the offense. Torrens had gone just 3-for-22 (.136) over his prior nine games, and on the season he sports a .240/.303/.399 slash line in 85 contests with eight homers and 37 RBI as the backup to Francisco Alvarez.

  • Torrens went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Nationals.

Though he remains the No. 2 catcher on the depth chart behind Francisco Alvarez, Torrens has capitalized on the opportunities he's received so far in August. Through his seven starts this month, Torrens has gone 8-for-21 (.381 average) with four home runs, four walks, one stolen base, 10 RBI and six runs. Considering Torrens left the yard just twice through his first 65 games of the season and owns an unremarkable .358 slugging percentage over his nine-year big-league career, fantasy players shouldn't count on the journeyman backstop's recent power surge lasting much longer.

  • Torrens went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to Atlanta.

The 30-year-old catcher got the Mets on the board in the sixth inning by taking Tyler Mahle deep. Torrens is up to five homers on the season, and three of them have come in August -- on the month he's batting .375 (6-for-16) with eight RBI while starting five of the team's 11 games.

  • Torrens went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Thursday's win over the Guardians.

The veteran catcher took Foster Griffin deep for a two-run shot in the second inning, putting the Mets in the lead for good in an eventual 13-6 victory. Torrens has gone yard in back-to-back starts, racking up five hits with seven RBI in those contests, and on the season he's put together a .234/.300/.359 slash line through 212 plate appearances with four homers, 26 runs and 27 RBI.

  • Torrens went 3-for-3 with a walk, a three-run home run and an RBI single during the Mets' 6-2 win over the Guardians on Tuesday.

Torrens got the Mets on the board with a three-run homer off Joey Cantillo in the second inning, though that long ball would not have happened had it not been for a throwing error by Guardians shortstop Gabriel Arias to keep the inning alive. Torrens added another run in the fourth, and his four RBI were a season high and most in a game since Aug. 25, 2025 against the Phillies (five). He has gone 8-for-26 (.308) with six RBI and three extra-base hits since the All-Star break.
