Lara isn't in the lineup for Game 3 of the NLDS against the Padres on Tuesday.
Lara will step out of the starting nine Tuesday to allow the lefty-hitting Sal Frelick to start in right field against right-handed starter Nick Pivetta.

The rookie outfielder went 0-for-3 with a walk in his playoff debut Saturday, but he'll take a seat for Game 2 versus San Diego ace Michael King. Sal Frelick will instead pick up a start in right field for Milwaukee while batting seventh.

The rookie outfielder will begin Sunday's festivities on the bench while Sal Frelick plays right field for the Brewers. Lara has struggled down the stretch for Milwaukee, slashing only .188/.243/.203 in September.

Lara will stick in the starting nine for a fourth straight game and will cover center for the second day in a row while Garrett Mitchell (neck) remains banged up. Once Mitchell is back in action, Lara could end up seeing regular reps in right field over Sal Frelick, who has posted a lowly .506 OPS since returning from the injured list Aug. 25. During that same stretch, Lara is slashing .263/.317/.298 with one stolen base, nine runs and eight RBI over 17 games.

Lara went 3-for-6 with a home run, four RBI and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 22-0 blowout win over the Mariners.
After going hitless in his first three at-bats, Lara collected hits in each of his final three. The highlight came during Milwaukee's nine-run eighth inning, when the 21-year-old launched a three-run homer off position player Leo Rivas for the first home run of his MLB career. Lara came to the plate again later in the frame and added an RBI single, scoring Milwaukee's 22nd run of the game, to cap his career-high four-RBI performance. Through 104 plate appearances, the rookie is slashing .242/.327/.363 with one homer, 15 RBI, 13 runs scored and two stolen bases.
