  • Fedko (knee) signed a two-year, minor-league contract with the Pirates on Saturday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Fedko slashed .274/.362/.545 across 307 plate appearances at Triple-A and made his MLB debut with the Twins this season, but his season came to an early end in August due to a torn ACL, MCL and LCL in his left knee. He'll likely miss most, if not all, of the 2027 campaign, but his new deal ensures he'll have an opportunity to show the Pirates what he can do in 2028.

  • Fedko (knee) signed a minor-league contract with the Pirates on Thursday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Fedko was designated for assignment by the Twins on Tuesday, and he has now found his next opportunity with the Pirates. The outfielder underwent surgery in early August to repair a torn ACL, MCL, and LCL in his left knee, and he is going to be sidelined for the rest of the season as a result.

  • The Twins designated Fedko (knee) for assignment Tuesday.

The transaction frees a spot on the 40-man roster for infielder Ben Ross, who was called up from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday. Fedko is out for the season after having surgery in early August to repair a torn ACL, MCL and LCL in his left knee.

  • Fedko announced via his personal Instagram account that he underwent season-ending surgery Friday to repair a torn ACL, MCL and LCL in his left knee, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports. Triple-A St. Paul placed him on its 7-day injured list Aug. 3.

Fedko sustained the multi-ligament injury while playing for St. Paul on Aug. 2, when he went down while pursing a flyball in the outfield. The 26-year-old got the chance to make his big-league debut earlier in the summer, going 0-for-16 with two walks, one run and one RBI in 14 games for the Twins before being optioned to Triple-A on July 10. Given the nature of his knee surgery, Fedko's availability for the start of spring training could be affected, and the injury may also influence the Twins' decision to tender him a contract heading into 2027.

  • The Twins optioned Fedko to Triple-A St. Paul on Friday.

Fedko was with the big club for nearly a month, but he received just four starts and failed to pick up his first major-league hit. The Twins will announced a corresponding roster move before Friday's contest against the Angels.

  • The Twins selected Fedko's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

It's a well-earned promotion for Fedko, who has slashed .286/.372/.578 with 15 home runs, nine stolen bases and a 26:53 BB:K over 58 games with St. Paul. The 26-year-old can play all three outfield spots and also has some experience at first and second base. The right-handed-hitting Fedko will likely see most of his playing time for the Twins against lefties, at least initially.
