  • Orioles president of baseball operations Mike Elias said Monday that Bradish will undergo surgery Tuesday to repair a sports hernia, Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com reports.

Bradish has been sidelined since mid-September with the injury and has ultimately decided to have it surgically repaired. More should be known regarding a timetable following the operation, but it should not affect Bradish's availability for the beginning of spring training. The right-hander finished the 2026 season with a 4.12 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 142:70 K:BB over 155 innings covering 29 starts.

  • The Orioles transferred Bradish (sports hernia) to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

Bradish had already been ruled out for the remainder of the season after hitting the shelf Sept. 13 due to a sports hernia, so his move to the 60-day IL is merely procedural. The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for right-hander Albert Suarez, who had his contract selected from Triple-A Norfolk.

  • Bradish was diagnosed with a sports hernia Wednesday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

The Orioles placed Bradish on the injured list Sunday with an abdominal issue, ruling him out for the rest of the regular season. Manager Craig Albernaz said Wednesday that the 30-year-old righty is exploring all of his options, but now that he's officially dealing with a hernia, he likely won't be available to pitch in the postseason if the Orioles secure a wild-card spot.

  • The Orioles placed Bradish on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to lower-abdominal discomfort.

The right-hander surrendered five runs across three innings Saturday in Toronto and has a 6.95 ERA across his past five starts, spoiling what had been a mostly effective second half of the year. Bradish will be sidelined for the rest of the regular season but will be eligible to be reinstated for the start of the playoffs should the Orioles make it -- they're just three games back of the final wild-card spot.

  • Bradish (7-14) took the loss Saturday, surrendering five runs on eight hits and two walks over three innings as the Orioles fell 7-3 to the Blue Jays. He struck out two.

Home runs by Brett Bateman and Alejandro Kirk in the third inning helped chase Bradish from the mound after just 56 pitches (37 strikes). It's the fifth time in his last nine starts that the right-hander has failed to complete five innings, and over that stretch he's stumbled to a 5.83 ERA, 1.82 WHIP and 32:19 K:BB in 41.2 innings while going 0-5. Bradish will try to rebound in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Brewers.

  • Bradish (7-13) took the loss against the Red Sox on Sunday, allowing three unearned runs on two hits and four walks with three strikeouts over four innings.

Bradish was done in by a three-run homer in the second after Gunnar Henderson committed an error with two outs. He labored overall, though, needing 85 pitches to complete just four innings. It's been a tough second half for the 29-year-old, who owns a 4.63 ERA in nine outings since the All-Star break while failing to exceed five frames four times over that stretch. He'll take a 3.91 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 140:68 K:BB across 152 innings this season into a road matchup with the Blue Jays next weekend.
