  • Allard signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies on Thursday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Allard was cut loose by the Guardians on Monday after turning in a 4.11 ERA and 1.16 WHIP across 30.2 innings with their Triple-A affiliate. He'll now return to the Phillies, with whom he spent 2024 while posting a 5.00 ERA and 1.56 WHIP in 27 regular-season frames. He'll presumably slide into the rotation at Triple-A Lehigh Valley but he return to the majors at some point.

  • The Guardians released Allard on Monday.

He'll part ways with Cleveland for the third time this season, after he previously re-signed with the Guardians on a pair of minor-league contracts upon electing free agency in April and opting out of his contract in May. In eight appearances (five starts) overall with Triple-A Columbus on the season, Allard posted a 4.11 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 28:9 K:BB in 30.2 innings. The 28-year-old southpaw shouldn't have much trouble catching on with another organization on a minor-league deal.

  • Allard signed a minor-league contract with the Guardians on Tuesday, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

One day after opting out of his deal with the Guardians, Allard will now return to the organization on another minor-league deal. The 28-year-old lefty has yet to find his groove on the mound this season, giving up 10 earned runs in 8.2 innings with Cleveland while also posting an 11.81 ERA through 5.1 frames at Triple-A Columbus.

  • The Guardians released Allard on Sunday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Allard had an opt-out clause in his minor-league contract and decided to exercise it. The Guardians are hopeful of bringing the southpaw back on a new deal just as they did last month when Allard was briefly a free agent, but the 28-year-old is now free to negotiate with all organizations. Allard has permitted 10 runs in 8.2 innings during his time in the majors this season and has been worse at Triple-A Columbus, posting an 11.81 ERA and 6:7 K:BB over 5.1 frames.

  • Allard signed a minor-league contract with the Guardians on Saturday, per SI.com.

Allard was DFA'd by the Guardians on Monday and elected to explore his options as a free agent Thursday. He ultimately decided to return to Cleveland's organization and has been assigned to Triple-A Columbus. Allard appeared in four major-league games out of the bullpen for the Guardians prior to his initial exit. He was roughed up in his last outing against Atlanta this past Sunday, when he allowed five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out one batter across three innings.

  • Allard elected to become a free agent Thursday.

Allard was designated for assignment by the Guardians on Monday, and he'll now become a free agent instead of reporting to Triple-A Columbus. The southpaw surrendered 10 runs on 16 hits and three walks while striking out nine batters over 8.2 innings in four appearances with Cleveland this season.
