The Twins declined Bell's $10 million club option for 2027 on Friday.
Bell will be given a $1.25 million buyout instead. The 34-year-old's lone season in Minnesota was a productive one, as he finished with a .255/.319/.419 batting line, 21 home runs and 96 RBI. Bell might have trouble landing a multi-year contract this offseason, but he should be able to find a team willing to give him regular at-bats at designated hitter and/or first base in 2027.

Bell went 1-for-2 with a home run, a walk and three RBI in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Rangers.
Bell opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the first inning before adding a two-run shot in the third. It ends a solid campaign for the 34-year-old, who took a one-year deal with the Twins last winter and led the team with 96 RBI, his highest total since 2019. Additionally, he slashed .255/.319/.419 with 21 homers, 78 runs scored and two steals across 631 plate appearances and is likely to enter free agency since he has a mutual option for 2027, which are rarely exercised by both player and team.

Bell is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in San Francisco.
Bell will retreat to the bench for the series opener against the Giants after starting each of the previous seven contests. Alan Roden is in the designated hitter slot and will bat sixth for the Twins while Bell rests.

Bell went 3-for-4 with two RBI, a run scored and a walk in Sunday's 8-0 win over the Angels.
Bell logged an RBI single in each of the third and fifth innings as part of a three-hit effort. The veteran is in the midst of a modest five-game hitting streak and is hitting .297/.361/.453 with three homers, eight RBI and eight runs in 17 September contests. Overall, Bell is slashing .258/.320/.421 with 20 homers, 91 RBI, 76 runs and two stolen bases across 149 games.

Bell is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.
Bell started the previous 15 contests and will receive a day off after going 2-for-20 in his past six games. Trevor Larnach will serve as the designated hitter Sunday while Emmanuel Rodriguez makes the start in left field.

Bell went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk during a 4-1 loss to the White Sox on Friday.
Bell scored the lone Twins run Friday with a solo shot in the ninth inning off Grant Taylor. The long ball broke a drought of 12 straight games without a blast. Over his last 30 games, Bell is slashing .304/.380/.473 with five homers and 21 RBI in 125 plate appearances.
