  • Soriano did not factor into the decision Friday against the Reds, allowing five runs on eight hits while striking out two across three innings. He did not issue a walk.

Soriano was handed an early 2-0 lead, but he proceeded to give up a solo homer to Eugenio Suarez in the second inning before yielding four more runs in the third. Soriano did not come back out for the fourth inning, with his night ending after only 48 pitches (36 strikes), but he dodged a loss after the Blue Jays took the lead with four runs in the seventh. He's given up at least four earned runs in each of his last three outings, and Soriano will end the 2026 regular season with a 12-8 record across 32 starts, along with a 3.91 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 169:73 K:BB over 177.1 innings. He was acquired by the Blue Jays from the Angels in early August and is arbitration-eligible in both 2027 and 2028.

  • Soriano (12-8) took the loss Saturday against Texas, striking out eight while allowing six runs (five earned) on four hits and one walk in five innings.

Hard contact hurt Soriano, who surrendered three extra-base hits (one home run) on the evening. The eight strikeouts were his most in a Blue Jays uniform, but the right-hander has now given up at least three runs in six of his last seven starts. He has a 4.73 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 40:16 K:BB over 51.1 innings for Toronto, and what could be his final appearance of 2026 lines up to come at home against the Reds.

  • Soriano allowed four runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five batters over 6.1 innings in a no-decision against Detroit on Monday.

Soriano was stellar through six scoreless and hitless frames during which he allowed only one baserunner (on a walk). However, he fell apart in the seventh, surrendering five hits -- including two doubles -- while notching just one out as the Tigers put up four runs. That final disastrous frame prevented Soriano from notching a second straight quality start, but he was spared a loss when the Blue Jays posted three runs in the bottom of the inning. The right-hander did manage to complete six innings for the third time over his past four starts after doing so just once across his initial four appearances with Toronto. Soriano will carry a 3.56 ERA into his next start, which is lined up to be a road game against the Rangers.

  • Soriano (12-7) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over seven innings against the Athletics. He struck out three.

The right-hander certainly wasn't at his most dominant Tuesday while generating just four swinging strikes and serving up two homers, but those two solo shots were the only runs he allowed. Soriano has struck out three or fewer batters in four of his seven starts since being acquired by Toronto, though his overall numbers since the trade are decent with a 4.05 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 40 innings.

  • Soriano didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Guardians, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out two.

Soriano did a decent job limiting the damage Thursday, though he'd ultimately come an out shy of qualifying for the win, as the Blue Jays turned to the bullpen with two outs in the fifth after Soriano threw 98 pitches. The results have been mixed lately for the right-hander, who's posted a 5.64 ERA across 22.1 innings in his last four starts. Overall, Soriano has gone 11-7 with a 3.52 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 151:70 K:BB through 28 starts (156 innings) between the Blue Jays and Angels this season. He's currently in line to face the A's in hitter-friendly Sacramento his next time out.

  • Soriano (11-7) earned the win against the Mariners on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six across seven innings.

Soriano gave up an early homer to Cal Raleigh before giving up another two runs in the fourth. Soriano was able to settle in to keep the Mariners off the board over his last three innings, and he received enough run support from his Blue Jays teammates to come away with his second win in five starts with Toronto. Since joining the Blue Jays, Soriano has a 4.13 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 22:10 K:BB over 28.1 innings. His next start is lined up to come on the road against the Guardians.
