  • Siri went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Mariners.

    Siri also supplied a sacrifice bunt in his first plate appearance of the game. The outfielder's homer came in the eighth inning, getting him to 10 long balls on the year. He hit .241 with a .713 OPS, 33 RBI, 36 runs scored, 10 doubles and nine stolen bases over 251 plate appearances across 108 contests with the Angels this year. He's entering his third year of arbitration eligibility but likely won't be guaranteed to stick on the big-league roster through the offseason.

  • Siri isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mariners, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

    Siri will begin Thursday's series opener on the bench after going 6-for-18 with a homer, two RBI, two runs and two steals over his last five games. Bryce Teodosio will pick up a start in center field as a result and bat ninth.

  • Siri went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and two stolen bases in Saturday's 6-5 extra-innings win over the Twins.

    Siri did a little of everything Saturday. He has gone 7-for-18 (.389) over his last six games, a span that includes three multi-hit efforts. The outfielder is batting .237 with a .705 OPS, nine homers, nine steals, 30 RBI, 34 runs scored and 10 doubles across 232 plate appearances this season. Mike Trout has recently been seeing more action as a designated hitter, which has allowed Siri to step into a more regular role down the stretch for the Halos.

    Siri started the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning and added a pair of singles afterward, including an RBI knock in the third. The outfielder has been productive of late, slashing .368/.400/.632 with a homer, five RBI, three runs and a stolen base over his past seven games. On the year, the 31-year-old is hitting .234/.290/.406 with eight homers, 28 RBI, 32 runs and seven stolen bases in 96 contests.

  • Siri went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-4 win over the Red Sox on Wednesday.

    Siri hit one of three Angels long balls Wednesday, belting a two-run shot to right-center field in the third inning. That snapped a 27-game homerless stretch for the veteran outfielder, who batted a meager .113 with an ugly 40.3 percent strikeout rate during the power drought. Siri seems to be in a platoon in right field at the moment, as he's started each of Los Angeles' past two contests against lefty starters while sitting in each of the team's past two games against righties.

    Siri will pick up his fifth start in six games, with injuries to fellow outfielders Wade Meckler (concussion) and Gustavo Campero (hamstring) helping to open up playing time for the 31-year-old. Though Siri has posted some interesting power and speed production in the past when given extended playing time, his struggles with making consistent contact (35.6 percent career strikeout rate) have long suppressed his batting averages.
