  • Beck went 2-for-4 against the Guardians on Friday.

Beck has had a tough season, spending the majority of his time either in the minors or on the injured list. However, he's settled into a short-side platoon role, and he's started three of Colorado's last four games with the team facing a heavy dose of lefties. Beck's multi-hit performance Friday was his first since April 20.

  • Beck is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Since being called up from Triple-A Albuquerque on Aug. 3, Beck has started in five of the Rockies' ensuing nine games while going 5-for-18 with three extra-base hits, one walk and one run. The Rockies could use Beck primarily against left-handed pitching moving forward, as the left-handed-hitting Zac Veen could be in line to get an extended look against righties after being promoted from Triple-A on Tuesday.

  • Colorado recalled Beck from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Thomas Harding of MLB.comreports.

Beck, who was recently activated from the injured list due to a hamstring strain, is back with the big-league club for the first time since mid-May. In 30 games before being sidelined, the 25-year-old slashed .183/.227/.305 with one homer and 10 RBI through 88 plate appearances. Beck is not in Monday's lineup for the series opener against the Rays, but is available off the bench.

  • The Rockies reinstated Beck (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Albuquerque.

With no room for him in their crowded outfield, the Rockies will keep the 25-year-old in the minors after he recovered from a hamstring strain. Before being shelved May 18, Beck contributed a .183/.227/.305 slash line with one home run and two stolen bases over 88 big-league plate appearances while mostly serving as a short-side platoon player.

  • Beck (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Kevin Henry of The Denver Gazette reports.

Beck has been shelved since mid-May with a left hamstring strain but is ready to test things out in a game setting. Since he's missed more than a month of action, Beck is likely to require a handful of rehab contests before returning to the Rockies' active roster.

  • Beck (hamstring) stretched and did running drills prior to Tuesday's game against the Cubs, MLB.com reports.

Beck has yet to resume fielding drills -- one of the the final steps in his recovery prior to beginning a rehab assignment. There is no specific timeline for his return, though it appears he could realistically be activated by late June or early July.
