The Rangers designated Bride for assignment Tuesday.
Bride will be pushed off the 40-man roster after spending just two days with the big club, during which he went 1-for-5 with a walk and two strikeouts. Jarred Kelenic was promoted from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move to replenish Texas' bench depth.

The Rangers selected Bride's contract from Triple-A Round Rock, and he'll start at third base and bat eighth Sunday against the Orioles.
Bride was released from his minor-league contract with the Rangers in mid-July but re-signed with the organization a few days later and is now getting his first look in the majors of 2026. The 30-year-old struggled to a .435 OPS in 45 games between Miami and Minnesota last season, but he's enjoyed a productive campaign at Round Rock with 10 home runs, nine steals and a .284/.404/.428 slash line in 431 plate appearances.

The Rangers released Bride on Monday.
Bride is presumably opting out of his minor-league contract with the Rangers, as he wasn't in line for a promotion to the big club despite producing a .274/.392/.421 slash line with nine home runs and eight steals over 80 games at Triple-A Round Rock this season. The 30-year-old infielder shouldn't have much trouble landing another opportunity, though he may have to settle for a minor-league deal on the open market.

The Rangers reassigned Bride to minor-league camp Sunday.
Bride had been competing for a utility spot on the Opening Day roster but didn't help his case by slashing an underwhelming .226/.368/.290 over 38 plate appearances. The 30-year-old infielder is likely to begin the campaign at Triple-A Round Rock.
