  • Junk did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over 4.2 innings in a 5-3 win over Atlanta. He struck out five.

The right-hander's lone blemish was a solo homer surrendered to Mauricio Dubon in the third inning, departing at 64 pitches (44 strikes) after 4.2 frames. Junk posted a 4.79 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB across 20.1 innings (five starts) in September. He'll close the 2026 campaign with a 6-9 record, 4.22 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 89:33 K:BB over 123.2 innings (26 appearances).

  • Junk didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Cubs after allowing two hits and a walk while striking out six over five scoreless innings. He also tossed a wild pitch.

Junk kept Chicago off the board while Miami built a 1-0 lead, allowing just two hits before departing after five innings. Junk's six strikeouts tied his season high, and the scoreless performance lowered his ERA to 4.31. He's given up one earned run or zero in six of his last seven outings, posting a 4.10 ERA in that stretch.

  • Junk allowed a run on five hits and a walk while striking out four over three innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Junk threw 49 of 72 pitches for strikes in the short start. The 30-year-old is winless over his last seven appearances, giving up 14 runs across 26.1 innings with a 14:7 K:BB in that span. Overall, he has a 4.50 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 78:31 K:BB through 114 innings over 24 games (23 starts) this year. He is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Cubs.

  • Junk did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 15-14 loss to the Mets, allowing eight runs on eight hits and one walk over three innings. He did not record a strikeout.

Wednesday was arguably Junk's worst performance of the season, with the right-hander giving up six runs in the second inning before allowing two more runs in the third. The eight runs allowed tied a season high he set May 20 against Atlanta, but luckily for Junk, he avoided the loss thanks to the offensive output from his Marlins teammates. Junk now stands at a 4.54 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over 111 innings, and he'll look to bounce back in his next start, tentatively slated for next week on the road against the Diamondbacks.

  • Junk (6-9) took the loss against the Cubs on Friday, allowing one run on three hits and one walk with four strikeouts over five innings.

Junk allowed just one run in the second inning but was outdueled by Shota Imanaga. While he's exceeded five frames only once in 10 outings (one relief appearance) since the All-Star break, the 30-year-old Junk has limited opponents to two earned runs or fewer in nine of those contests. He'll carry a 4.00 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 74:29 K:BB across 108 innings this season into a home matchup with the Mets next week.

  • Junk did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Nationals, allowing a run on four hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out two.

Junk returned to Miami's rotation Sunday after he was unexpectedly deployed in relief Wednesday. The right-hander was sharp, blanking Washington through four innings before allowing a lone two-out run in the fifth. Junk would then depart the game after throwing just 65 pitches. It appears that Junk could be on a pitch limit down the stretch -- he's now thrown 103 innings this season after delivering a career-high 110 last year. Overall, Junk's ERA sits at 4.11 with a 1.30 WHIP and 70:28 K:BB. He tentatively lines up to face the Cubs at home his next time out.
