  • Misiorowski was removed from Game 5 of the World Series against the Rays on Wednesday due to cramping in his right calf, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Misiorowski made it through 5.2 shutout innings on 86 pitches before his calf suddenly cramped up on him, and he was removed from the game after feeling discomfort while throwing warm-up pitches. The 24-year-old flamethrower is lined up for the victory with Milwaukee leading 4-0, and if his start Wednesday proves to be his final outing, he will finish the postseason with a 1.89 ERA and 1.11 WHIP alongside a 16:6 K:BB over 19 innings.

  • Misiorowski earned the win in Game 1 of the World Series against the Rays on Friday, giving up one run on four hits with three strikeouts and one walk over five innings.

The flamethrowing righty continues to labor in the playoffs, as he generated just seven whiffs Friday while setting a season low in strikeouts. Still, Misiorowski scattered three singles, a double and a walk to hold the Rays to a single run while delivering his longest start of the postseason. The 24-year-old hasn't provided much length in October with 13.1 innings through three playoff starts, but he's been effective enough with a 2.70 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB. He next lines up to start a potential Game 5 in Tampa Bay for the Brewers.

  • Misiorowski will start Game 1 of the NLCS against the Dodgers on Sunday.

Misiorowski took the mound to begin the opening contest of the NLDS against San Diego, and the Brewers will turn to their ace again to begin their best-of-seven series against Los Angeles. The 24-year-old is a strong contender to take home the NL Cy Young Award after posting a 1.80 ERA and 0.80 WHIP across 174.2 innings in the regular season, but he wasn't quite as dominant during his first postseason outing, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk while fanning six batters in four innings.

  • Misiorowski (16-5) allowed two hits and two walks while striking out five over 5.1 scoreless innings to earn the win over the Cardinals on Sunday.

Misiorowski threw 68 pitches (44 strikes) in this outing, getting a standing ovation after striking out Jordan Walker in the sixth inning. Misiorowski had 10 scoreless outings this season and 18 starts of no more than one run allowed. He led all qualified starters with a 1.80 ERA and 252 strikeouts while maintaining a 0.80 WHIP over 174.2 innings across 30 starts, making him the clear frontrunner for the NL Cy Young Award. The superstar right-hander will next take the mound during the NLDS.

  • Misiorowski allowed a hit and struck out four without walking a batter over three shutout innings in a no-decision versus the Orioles on Sunday. Per Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, this was an intentionally planned short outing for Misiorowski to keep his innings in check ahead of the postseason.

McCalvy adds that Misiorowski is expected to see more regular usage in his last projected start of the regular season at home versus the Cardinals, which will line him up to take the mound during the NLDS. Since the All-Star break, Misiorowski has allowed just 16 runs (15 earned) over 58.1 innings, adding an 80:15 K:BB in that span. For the year, he's at a 1.86 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 247:42 K:BB through 169.1 innings over 29 starts. The good news for fantasy managers is that Misiorowski is expected to have one more start even if the Brewers clinch everything they can before it's his turn to pitch again.
