Latest news

  • Jobe (3-3) allowed two runs on three hits across 5.1 innings to earn the win in Friday's 8-7 victory over the Pirates. He walked two and struck out eight.

Jobe put a cap on his 2026 campaign with another strong performance as he came within one strikeout of matching a season high. Across his final three starts of the year, the young righty posted a 2-1 record, 3.06 ERA and 0.79 WHIP while striking out 25 batters across 17.2 innings. Overall, Jobe finishes with a 3.91 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 51 strikeouts in 46 innings, making his return from Tommy John surgery a success. He'll now get the offseason to gear up for 2027, and Jobe looks like a potential breakout candidate as he gets further removed from his surgery and his workload presumably increases.

  • Jobe (2-3) allowed three runs on four hits across six innings to take the loss in Saturday's 3-1 defeat to the White Sox. He walked one and struck out nine.

After registering a career-high eight strikeouts in his last outing, Jobe wasted little time setting a new high-water mark. The young righty simply didn't receive enough run support and was outdueled by Chicago's Sean Burke, but it was still another promising outing. Jobe has mostly looked good since making his season debut in August following about a year on the shelf due to Tommy John surgery, and he now has a 3.98 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 43 strikeouts across 40.2 innings this season. The 24-year-old is scheduled to make one more 2026 start against the Pirates, and then he'll turn his attention toward 2027, which could be a breakout campaign now that Jobe is fully healthy and starting to figure things out at the MLB level.

  • Jobe (2-2) earned the win Sunday against Colorado, allowing one run on three hits and one walk in 6.1 innings. He struck out eight.

Adael Amador took Jobe yard in the opening inning, but that was all the Rockies would muster in the scoring department for the rest of the afternoon. It was the longest outing of the right-hander's career, and the eight strikeouts marked a career best as well. He'll carry a decent 3.89 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB over 34.2 innings into his next scheduled outing in Chicago against the division-rival White Sox.

  • Jobe didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Guardians, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

It was a strong bounce-back effort from Jobe, after he gave up five runs (four earned) in a loss to Minnesota his last time out. The right-hander held Cleveland to a pair of runs Sunday while setting a season high with seven strikeouts. Overall, Jobe is 1-2 with a 4.45 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 26:12 K:BB across six starts (28.1 innings) this season. He's currently lined up to face the Rockies at home in his next outing.

  • Jobe (1-2) took the loss against the Twins on Monday, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out four.

It was a shaky outing all around by Jobe, who served up a pair of home runs and two doubles as well. On a positive note, the 24-year-old right-hander did touch the 90-pitch marker for the first time this season, an important milestone amidst his comeback from Tommy John surgery in May of 2025. He'll be looking to get back on track over the weekend in Cleveland, carrying a rocky 4.63 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 19:10 K:BB over his first 23.1 innings.
