The Rangers optioned Collyer to the Arizona Complex League on Saturday.
Collyer gave up two earned runs in two innings during Friday's contest and will now be pushed out of Texas' bullpen in favor of Robby Ahlstrom, who will give the team another fresh arm to work with.

The Rangers recalled Collyer from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.
Collyer replaces Winston Santos in the Texas bullpen after spending the past two-plus months in the minor leagues. The right-handed Collyer made 23 relief appearances with the big club from mid-April to mid-July, posting a 5.09 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 22:19 K:BB in 23 innings.

Texas optioned Collyer to Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.
After a rocky appearance Friday, Collyer will make his way back to Triple-A having made five appearances during his latest stint with the big-league club. The 25-year-old allowed four runs on two hits, two walks and one hit batsman while striking out one in one inning of work on Friday against Atlanta. The Rangers activated Jakob Junis from the 15-day injured list to replace Collyer on the active roster.

Collyer will give the Rangers' bullpen a fresh arm after the club used five pitchers in Monday's win over the Guardians. The 25-year-old was unscored upon in his first 11 outings earlier this season but was sent to Round Rock after posting an 8.59 ERA and 7:10 K:BB over his last seven outings.
