- Fantasy baseball: Which pitchers are MVPs, LVPs of 2026?
Eric Karabell looks back on the fantasy baseball season and hands out his MVPs and LVPs for pitchers.

Rodriguez (16-7) earned the win Thursday over the Rockies, allowing two runs on nine hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out three.
Rodriguez did a good job working his way out of danger Thursday, as he held Colorado to just a pair of runs despite dealing with at least one baserunner in each of his six innings. It's a nice bounce-back effort from Rodriguez, who was tagged for seven runs over 5.1 frames his last time out against the Yankees. The lefty will finish a strong regular season with a 2.89 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 143:62 K:BB across 32 starts (189.2 innings).

Rodriguez (15-7) allowed seven runs on five hits and four walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings to take the loss versus the Yankees on Friday.
Rodriguez faced some early resistence as the Yankees rattled off five runs in the first inning. He also surrendered solo home runs to Ben Rice and George Lombard before his exit. With a couple of crooked numbers going up over his last two starts, Rodriguez might be running out of magic after an impressive campaign. He's at a 2.89 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 140:62 K:BB through 183.2 innings over 31 starts this season. The southpaw is projected to make his last start of the regular season in Colorado.

Rodriguez (15-6) took the loss Sunday, allowing six runs (three earned) on eight hits and a walk over 5.1 innings against the Rangers. He struck out seven.
The southpaw surrendered a two-run homer to Corey Seager in the first inning and wasn't his sharpest self Sunday, though a pair of errors in the fifth frame did Rodriguez no favors. The 33-year-old has been consistently solid throughout 2026, posting a 2.62 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 135:58 K:BB across 178.1 innings (30 starts). Rodriguez's next outing is tentatively scheduled for Saturday against the Yankees.

Rodriguez (15-5) notched the win against the Astros on Sunday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out six.
American League MVP frontrunner Yordan Alvarez took Rodriguez deep in the first inning, but that was all the offense Houston would muster. The southpaw has regularly generated quality starts all year long, racking up 18 of them over 29 outings. He'll carry a strong 2.55 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 128:57 K:BB through 173 innings into his next scheduled appearance against Texas.

Rodriguez (14-5) allowed three runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out three over five innings to take the loss versus the Phillies on Tuesday.
Rodriguez had allowed a total of four runs over 25.2 innings during his four-start winning streak to end August. He had trouble containing a formidable offense, though this was the sixth time in seven starts during which he was able to keep the ball in the yard. Rodriguez is at a 2.59 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 122:55 K:BB through 167 innings over 28 starts this season. His next start is projected to be on the road versus the Royals.
