Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes said Tuesday that Henriquez (back) is "trending really well" after the right-hander threw an encouraging round of live batting practice, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.
Henriquez ended the regular season on the injured list due to a low-grade back strain, but because the Dodgers have a bye during the wild-card round, he'll have time to heal before the team begins its postseason run. The 24-year-old righty still has a few boxes left to check off, but assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks during his remaining workouts, he'll likely be included on the Dodgers' NLDS roster.

Henriquez allowed no hits with two strikeouts and one walk in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save Sunday versus the Nationals.
Closer Tanner Scott had pitched three of the last four days, so it was Henriquez that got the call after Mookie Betts put the Dodgers up 7-5 with a three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning. It's the second save of the season for the right-hander, who has been a reliable bullpen option lately with just one run given up and a 23:2 K:BB in his past 15 appearances. Henriquez's previous save came June 28, and he's unlikely to be a regular part of the ninth-inning mix for manager Dave Roberts.

Henriquez will serve as the opener in Friday's game against the Red Sox, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
The Dodgers are treating the series opener as a bullpen day, with Henriquez likely to be lifted from the contest after an inning or two. Henriquez, who will be making his first MLB start, owns a 2.79 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 42:19 K:BB over 41 appearances on the season.

Henriquez walked one and struck out none in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Padres.
Henriquez's high-leverage chances have been increasing lately. He's earned the opportunities by allowing just three runs with a 21:4 K:BB over his last 18.2 innings. Tanner Scott was utilized in the seventh and eighth innings to deal with the middle of the Padres' order, and Henriquez was able to get Fernando Tatis to ground into a game-ending double play after the lineup turned over. Through 32.2 innings this season, Henriquez has a 2.76 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 33:11 K:BB while adding five holds. While save chances probably won't become a regular thing for the right-hander, he's earned manager Dave Roberts' trust to handle late-inning situations.
