Gilbert was a major contributor in the victory, lining a two-RBI single in the second inning before smacking a solo homer in the fifth frame. Gilbert pinch hit in the 10th inning and delivered as the leadoff hitter, launching a two-run homer to center field to give San Francisco a 6-4 lead. The 25-year-old outfielder lined a single to left field in the first inning before coming around to score, and he added a two-run homer off Bradgley Rodriguez in the eighth.
