  • Prielipp (6-7) earned the win Friday against the Angels after tossing seven scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out eight.

Prielipp delivered one of the most polished outings of his young career, setting a career high with seven innings while throwing 60 of 92 pitches for strikes. The eight punchouts were his best output in that category since he struck out 10 in a no-decision against the Rockies on June 28. He's now given up three runs or fewer in each of his last five appearances, posting a 2.70 ERA with a 24:4 K:BB in 26.2 innings over that stretch. He's expected to make his next start Friday at home against the Rangers.

  • Prielipp (5-7) earned the win against the Guardians on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks with one strikeout over 5.1 innings.

Prielipp benefited from a four-run third inning from the Twins' offense, and he filled the strike zone with 57 of 77 pitches despite generating only five whiffs. The 25-year-old has now yielded three earned runs or fewer in four straight outings, with his two appearances prior to Saturday coming in bulk relief. He owns a 5.24 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 117:40 K:BB across 113.1 frames in his rookie campaign and lines up to face the Angels next weekend, though it's unclear in what role that may be.

  • Prielipp is slated to start Saturday's game against the Guardians in Minnesota.

Prielipp made his last two appearances for Minnesota out of the bullpen, working in bulk relief behind opener Andrew Morris in a Sept. 1 win over the Tigers and then piggybacking starter Joe Ryan in Monday's 5-4 loss to Detroit. The Twins will separate Prielipp and Ryan and give them standalone starts to close out the weekend series versus the Guardians, though Prielipp will likely have his workload monitored to some degree. The Twins skipped Bailey Ober's turn in the rotation this week, but it's possible that he could be called upon to piggyback Prielipp on Saturday.

  • Prielipp struck out five and allowed two earned runs on five hits and no walks across four innings of relief in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Tigers.

Prielipp made a second straight appearance as a bulk reliever, this time piggybacking Joe Ryan (glute), who was lifted after four innings and 66 pitches in his first start with Minnesota in more than a month following his return from the injured list. Ryan should be ready to handle a more standard workload in his next start, so unless the Twins elect to expand the rotation to six men, Prielipp could end up taking on a more flexible bullpen role over the final two weeks of the season. The Twins are looking to limit Prielipp's workload down the stretch; he's already racked up 126.2 frames between the majors and Triple-A St. Paul in 2026, a 44-inning increase from his 2025 total.
