  • Moore went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's 7-5 win over the Mariners.

Moore has gone 7-for-23 (.304) with eight RBI over his last seven games. The infielder has also struck out nine times in that span, but he has turned things around after a slump in mid-September. For the season, he's hitting just .186 with a .516 OPS, two homers, 18 RBI, four runs scored, four doubles, one triple and one stolen base over 139 plate appearances. With a 33.8 percent strikeout rate in the majors this year, Moore has failed to demonstrate a more patient approach at the plate, which has kept his overall offense limited.

  • Moore isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Twins, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Moore will take a seat Saturday after going 1-for-3 with a strikeout during Friday's contest. His absence will move Vaughn Grissom to second base and Moises Ballesteros to first, allowing Tyler Heineman to start at catcher.

  • Moore isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Moore will get a day to reset after going 0-for-19 with eight strikeouts across his last five games. Oswald Peraza will take over at second base and bat seventh.

  • Moore will start at second base and bat cleanup in Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Moore will draw his fifth start in as many days at the keystone following his promotion from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday. He's gotten on base just three times over the last four games, though he's provided a solo home run and a double during that stretch. Moore should have a clear path to an everyday role in the infield while Nolan Schanuel (intercostal) is stuck on the injured list.

  • Moore went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday in an extra-inning loss to Cleveland.

Moore gave the Angels a 3-0 lead with his third-inning solo shot, but the Guardians eventually came back and pulled out the victory. The long ball was Moore's first in the big leagues in 2026 and just his second extra-base hit through 39 plate appearances. He's slashed a meager .167/.205/.278 with an ugly 41.0 percent strikeout rate during that span, but he posted a .943 OPS with 11 homers, 60 RBI and 14 stolen bases across 86 contests with Triple-A Salt Lake, so there seems to be potential for more potent production that Moore hasn't tapped into yet.

  • The Angels recalled Moore from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Outfielder Gustavo Campero was also recalled from Salt Lake, while Nolan Schanuel (side) was placed on the 10-day IL and Wade Meckler landed on the 7-day concussion IL. This will be Moore's second big-league stint this season; in his first call-up during the second half of June, he slashed .200/.227/.200 with a 1:11 BB:K over 22 plate appearances. Moore played mostly in left field at that time, but he's starting at second base and batting eighth Saturday, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register.
