The Athletics recalled Roycroft from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.
After being scooped up off waivers by the Athletics on Tuesday, Roycroft will report directly to the big club. The big right-hander has given up 23 runs with an 18:12 K:BB over 24.2 innings between stops with the Cardinals and Rays this season.

The Rays designated Roycroft for assignment Sunday.
Roycroft will give up his spot on the 40-man roster to Manuel Rodriguez (elbow), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move. After being acquired from the Cardinals on June 23, Roycroft turned in a 6.52 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 14:4 K:BB over 19.1 innings during three stints in the big leagues with the Rays.

Roycroft has been bludgeoned for 14 runs over 17.1 frames out of the Rays' bullpen this season. He will give the Rays a fresh bullpen arm after the team's relievers covered 5.1 innings in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays.
