  • Reds president of baseball operations Nick Krall said Thursday that Singer was plagued by blister issues during the season, Mike Petraglia of CLNSCincy.com reports.

Singer was unavailable for a bit during spring training because of a blister problem, but he didn't miss any starts during the regular season. However, the blister issues could have affected his performance, as Singer posted a career-worst 5.85 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 126:62 K:BB over 157 innings. The 30-year-old hurler will be a free agent this offseason.

  • Singer took a no-decision Thursday against Atlanta, striking out one while allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks in three innings.

With another poor showing Thursday, Singer is limping his way into the offseason. The right-hander has coughed up at least five runs in four consecutive starts, and he hasn't pitched six frames in an outing since Aug. 20 versus the Cardinals. He'll be an unrestricted free agent this winter, and Singer figures to have a market as a back-end starter despite logging a career-worst 5.85 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 126:62 K:BB across 157 innings in 2026.

  • Singer (6-15) took the loss Thursday against the Dodgers, allowing seven runs on nine hits and four walks over 3.1 innings. He didn't record a strikeout.

The Dodgers got to Singer quickly Thursday, scoring two runs in both of the first two innings before the right-hander was charged for three more runs in the fourth. It's been a rough finish to the season for Singer -- he's now given up 25 earned runs across just 16.2 frames in his last four starts. His ERA is up to 5.67 through 30 starts (154 innings) this season with a 1.56 WHIP and 125:60 K:BB. Singer will look to turn things around his next time out, tentatively scheduled to come on the road in Atlanta next week.

  • Singer (6-14) took the loss Saturday against the Brewers, allowing eight runs on eight hits and five walks in four innings. He struck out five.

Milwaukee pounced on Singer right away, tagging him for four runs in the first inning. The right-hander had given up more than four runs just three times in 2026 before his most recent two starts in September, during which he's coughed up a staggering 14 runs. He'll take a 5.38 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 125:56 K:BB over 150.2 innings into a difficult home assignment versus the Dodgers.

  • Singer (6-13) earned the win against the Brewers on Sunday, allowing six runs on four hits and six walks with three strikeouts over five innings.

Singer benefited from an offensive explosion by the Reds, as he set season highs in walks and earned runs allowed. While the 30-year-old has generally worked deep into games, he's now yielded three earned runs or more in nine straight starts and owns a 5.53 ERA in the second half. He'll carry a 5.03 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 120:51 K:BB across 146.2 innings this season into a road rematch with the Brewers next weekend.

  • Singer (5-13) took the loss Monday against the Padres, allowing four runs on 10 hits while striking out five and walking none over 4.1 innings.

Singer unraveled in the fourth inning, surrendering six consecutive hits before recording an out as San Diego pushed across four runs. The 10 hits matched a season high for the right-hander, who has now allowed at least three runs in eight consecutive starts. Across 27 starts this season, Singer owns a 4.83 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 117:45 K:BB over 141.2 innings. He's slated to face the Brewers on Sunday.
