OUT

Out · expected back around Sep 1

Keller was diagnosed with a torn UCL in his right elbow just after the All-Star break and has now officially gone under the knife. He's expected to be sidelined 13-to-16 months from Tuesday's surgery, so the earliest that he could return to action will be late in the 2027 season, though it's more likely that he'll be aiming toward being fully healthy for the start of the 2028 campaign. Keller will finish the 2026 regular season with a 4.02 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, 13 holds, three saves and a 32:13 K:BB across 31.1 innings.

  • Keller underwent right elbow UCL reconstruction surgery with internal brace and flexor tendon repair Tuesday, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

  • The Phillies moved Keller (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Keller suffered a brutal blow July 16, tearing his UCL just eight days after returning from the injured list with a forearm injury. The 30-year-old will now officially miss the rest of the 2026 season and potentially the 2027 season if he elects to get surgery to repair his UCL. The Phillies selected Payton Henry's contract from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to take over Keller's spot on the 40-man roster.

  • The Phillies placed Keller on the 15-day injured list Thursday with a torn UCL in his right elbow.

Keller returned from the injured list July 8 after missing nearly a month due to forearm tendinitis, but he'll now likely miss the remainder of the season because of his latest injury. If he decides to undergo surgery to address the issue, he would likely miss most, if not all, of the 2027 campaign, as well. Seth Johnson will come up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to fill the vacancy in Philadelphia's bullpen.

  • The Phillies reinstated Keller (forearm) from the injured list Wednesday.

Keller had been on the shelf since June 16 with right forearm tendinitis, but after making two rehab appearances at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, he's officially been cleared to return to Philadelphia's bullpen. The 30-year-old owns a 4.15 ERA and 1.35 WHIP through 30.1 innings on the season and will likely slide back into a setup role now that he's fully healthy. Seth Johnson was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

  • The Phillies plan to reinstate Keller (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Keller made two rehab appearances with Triple-A Lehigh Valley over the weekend, and the Phillies will give him two days to rest up before activating him from the IL. The right-hander has recoded three saves and 13 holds with a 4.15 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 31:12 K:BB across 30.1 innings this year.

  • Keller (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday.

Keller has been sidelined by right forearm tendinitis since June 16, but he's now been cleared to return to a game setting and looks to still be on track to return to Philadelphia's bullpen well before the All-Star break.
