  • Hoppe (1-1) earned the win after allowing one unearned run on one hit while walking one and striking out one over one inning in Tuesday's 7-5 extra-innings victory over the Mets.

Hoppe entered the game in the 10th with Baltimore ahead 4-3 and surrendered a game-tying RBI double to Marcus Semien, with the automatic runner accounting for the unearned run. Hoppe prevented further damage the rest of the way, and Coby Mayo's three-run inside-the-park homer in the following frame then put Baltimore ahead for good, giving Hoppe his first win of the season. Despite the run allowed in the 10th, Hoppe continues to pitch well. He has allowed just one earned run across 12.2 innings and 16 appearances since the beginning of August for a 1.42 ERA, albeit with a 1.66 WHIP and 10:8 K:BB.

  • Hoppe allowed an unearned run on one hit and struck out one over one inning to earn the save in Friday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Athletics.

A Zack Gelof RBI single got one run back for the Athletics in the 10th inning, but he was left on base. That run was the first run Hoppe has allowed over 8.1 innings since joining the Orioles in a trade that sent Taylor Ward to Seattle at the deadline. The save was the first of Hoppe's career to go with three holds, two of which have also come since he was dealt. The right-hander has a 4.46 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 40:13 K:BB through 36.1 innings this year.

  • The Orioles acquired Hoppe and right-handers Harrison Kreiling and Brock Moore from the Mariners on Monday in exchange for outfielder Taylor Ward, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Hoppe is the only big-league-ready arm the Orioles will receive in the deal, as Kreiling and Moore haven't pitched above the Single-A and Double-A levels, respectively. A 27-year-old righty, Hoppe reached the majors for the first time in April and compiled a 5.79 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 34:11 K:BB in 28 innings while working mostly in middle relief for Seattle. He'll likely slot into a similar role in the Baltimore bullpen.

  • The Mariners recalled Hoppe from Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

The rookie right-hander has spent the past month in the minors but will rejoin the Mariners ahead of Sunday's series finale at Texas. Hoppe has a 6.38 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 26:10 K:BB across 24 innings in the majors this year.

  • The Mariners optioned Hoppe to Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.

Hoppe will lose his place in Seattle's bullpen after giving up multiple runs in each of his last two appearances, elevating his ERA to 6.38 through 24 innings. Josh Simpson was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

  • Hoppe was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.

Hoppe has appeared in eight games for Triple-A Tacoma in 2026 and has not surrendered a run on four hits with a 12:3 K:BB across eight innings. The 27-year-old will look to build off his early season minor-league success when he makes his MLB debut out of the bullpen. In a corresponding move, the Mariners designated Casey Legumina for assignment.
