NFL Week 7 Final Injury Designations: Lamar Jackson Is a Game-Time Decision, Breece Hall Is Questionable and Zach Charbonnet Sits Again
By Verdexed NFL Desk

Friday's final Week 7 injury reports settled most of the big fantasy questions and left two of them open into Sunday morning. Lamar Jackson (ankle) is questionable for the Ravens against Cincinnati and will be a game-time decision, Breece Hall (quad) is questionable for the Jets against Miami, Baker Mayfield (thumb) carries a questionable tag but has been named Tampa Bay's starter, and Zach Charbonnet was ruled out by Seattle a day after coming off the PUP list. With the Bills, Jaguars, Chargers and Commanders on bye, every one of those calls matters for a lineup.
This is the board for the Sunday slate, plus a look at Monday night, where Saquon Barkley's return headlines a still unresolved Eagles report.
The designations that move fantasy lineups
The table below lists the confirmed Friday designations for the fantasy-relevant names. Philadelphia and Dallas play Monday, so their game designations do not arrive until Saturday afternoon.
| Player | Team | Injury | Status |

| Emeka Egbuka | Buccaneers | Concussion, foot | Out |
| Zach Charbonnet | Seahawks | Knee (ACL recovery) | Out |
| Tank Dell | Texans | Knee | Questionable |
| Theo Johnson | Giants | Undisclosed | Doubtful |
| Jordan Love | Packers | Back | No designation |
Lamar Jackson: the decision that swings a whole game
Jackson was limited in all three practices this week, his first on-field work since he hurt his left ankle in the Oct. 4 win over Tennessee. He has described the injury to reporters as a painful high ankle sprain and said his availability will come down to how much pain he can tolerate. Head coach Jesse Minter has said the team will take as long as it needs before naming a starter, which is why this one will run right up to the inactive list.
The betting market has been reading the same tea leaves. Cincinnati was briefly a favorite in Baltimore in midweek, the Ravens drifted back to a small home favorite by Friday, and the total has slid from 50.5 toward 48.5 at several books. That is a market that is not sure Jackson plays, and that is not sure he will be himself if he does.
For fantasy, there is no reason to bench Jackson preemptively in a league with Sunday lineup flexibility. Hold him, and line up a bye-week replacement from a later game so a late scratch costs nothing. If he sits, Tyler Huntley starts for a third straight week. Huntley is a usable Superflex body but not a one-QB starter, and last week's 13-10 loss in Cleveland showed how much of Baltimore's offense shrinks around him. Derrick Henry remains a start either way.
Breece Hall and the Jets backfield
Hall was limited Thursday and Friday after missing three straight games with the quad injury, and Aaron Glenn dropped the "week-to-week" label he had used for three weeks. Glenn said the team will see how Hall feels on Saturday and could carry the decision into game day. If Hall plays, he reclaims the starting job, but Glenn also said Braelon Allen will still get touches.
That is the tricky part for managers. Allen has handled the overwhelming share of the Jets' running back opportunities since Week 4, by one count 44 of the 48, and he faces a winless Dolphins team. If Hall is active, expect a split in his first game back, which makes both backs shaky RB2 options rather than locks. If Hall is ruled out, Allen moves into must-start territory for the week. Miami will be without cornerback Reese Taylor (quad), and edge rusher Robert Beal Jr. (hamstring) is doubtful.
Mayfield returns, Egbuka does not
Todd Bowles told reporters Friday that Mayfield will start at Carolina after missing three games with a dislocated right thumb. Mayfield was a full participant all week, and the questionable tag reads as a precaution; Bowles also said the team would discuss carrying a third quarterback for insurance.
The problem is who Mayfield will be throwing to. Emeka Egbuka (concussion, foot), right tackle Luke Goedeke (calf) and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (rib) were all ruled out. Chris Godwin becomes the clear top target and a viable WR2, while Ted Hurst and Tez Johnson are the deep-league flex fliers. Carolina is a field-goal favorite at home.
Charbonnet sits a week, Seattle leans on Emanuel Wilson
Seattle activated Charbonnet from the PUP list this week, a move it had to make once his 21-day practice window closed, then ruled him out for Sunday night against the unbeaten Chiefs. Mike Macdonald stressed that there was no setback: Charbonnet practiced fully all week, and the staff simply wants one more week of work before his season debut. His next chance is the Monday, Nov. 2 home game against Chicago.
Emanuel Wilson keeps the lead role he has held in recent weeks, with rookie Jadarian Price still on injured reserve with a chest injury. Wilson is a volume-based RB2 against Kansas City. Charbonnet is a worthwhile stash for managers who have the bench room, since a healthy three-down back in a Seahawks offense could matter a great deal for the fantasy playoffs.
Green lights in Green Bay and a clean Cincinnati report
Jordan Love (back) was limited Wednesday, went full on Thursday and does not appear on the final report, so he starts in Detroit in the week's highest-total game. Josh Jacobs is expected to make his season debut after being removed from the Commissioner's exempt list; the Packers have until 3 p.m. ET on Saturday to activate him, and Matt LaFleur said he believes Jacobs is ready. Expect a measured workload in his first game, which caps his ceiling more than his floor.
The Bengals, coming off their bye, listed nobody with a game designation. That clears Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and the rest of the Cincinnati offense for Baltimore.
In Houston, Tank Dell (knee) is questionable and on track to return, per DeMeco Ryans, though he still has to be activated from injured reserve and figures to have his snaps managed. The Giants ruled out linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) and cornerback Greg Newsome II (concussion), and tight end Theo Johnson is doubtful.
Monday night: Saquon Barkley's return
The Eagles practiced Thursday and Friday with Saquon Barkley limited both days, his first sessions since the Week 4 hamstring injury, and NFL Network reported that he is in line to play against Dallas. Receivers DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) and tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) did not practice either day. Local reporting has Smith and Wicks tracking to miss the game, with more optimism about Goedert. The Eagles' final designations come out Saturday afternoon.
What to do before kickoff
Set your Sunday lineups around two late decisions. Hold Jackson and Hall, but make sure each has an active replacement in a later window. Start Godwin and Henry with confidence, treat Wilson as a solid RB2, and keep Charbonnet stashed for November. For the Ravens game, the model's view will move with the Jackson decision, so check the NFL predictions page and the Week 7 picks after inactives are posted on Sunday.
