Major League Baseball scheduled three games for Monday, September 21, the thinnest board this column has covered all season, and the usual job cannot be done on it. Verdexed's per-game win probabilities, confidence tiers, and edge figures were not retrievable at publication. The verdexed.com prediction, edge, and accuracy pages are blocked from this publishing environment, and the numbers did not surface through search either; Verdexed moved per-game predictions behind a subscription after July 31, which is the likely reason they no longer appear publicly. There is no biggest edge to name today, and no probability below belongs to the model. What follows is a matchup and market read, published as model output and entertainment rather than betting advice, for readers 21 and older located where sports wagering is legal. The market's firmest opinion on the day sits in Detroit, where the Tigers have been quoted near minus 155 against Washington, and its softest sits in Baltimore, where the only game with postseason stakes is priced close to a coin flip.

How to read this

A normal edition carries two numbers per game: Verdexed's model probability, built from a weighted feature set that in baseball includes the starting pitcher and bullpen alongside recent form, team strength, home-field advantage, head-to-head history, and rest, and the market's implied probability from the moneyline once the book's margin is stripped out. The edge is the distance between them, and it means something only when the model half is formed independently of the market half. Monday only the market half was readable. Verdexed logs each prediction before first pitch and scores it afterward on win accuracy and on Brier score, where lower is better, but the trailing thirty-day figures were not retrievable at publication, so no hit rate is cited here and none should be inferred. Every price below is a sportsbook number confirmed through search, and a price is a consensus opinion rather than a forecast. No edge is claimed today, and on the days one is, it is still not a guarantee.

The model's top edges today

None are claimed. Inventing a probability to fill this section would defeat the purpose of having it. The three games below are listed for their stakes and their prices, nothing more.

Monday's board, market side only

**Blue Jays at Orioles, 6:35 p.m. ET, Oriole Park at Camden Yards.** This is the only game Monday that touches the postseason, and the market cannot separate the teams. Quotes have run roughly Toronto minus 106 to Baltimore minus 113 depending on the book, which is the pricing equivalent of a shrug, with a total of 7.5. Toronto has been reported at 77-79 and roughly three games behind the Chicago White Sox for the third American League wild card with the regular season ending September 27, so the margin is thin and the calendar is thinner; treat both the record and the deficit as snapshots rather than a verified standings feed. Trey Yesavage and Shane Baz have been listed as the projected starters, reported rather than confirmed, and a late change would move a number this tight more than it would move any other game on the board.

**Nationals at Tigers, 6:40 p.m. ET, Comerica Park.** Detroit has been quoted near minus 155 with Washington near plus 131 and a total of 8.5, the widest price of the day, and both clubs have been reported at 73-83 and out of the race. The pitching matchup is the reason to look twice: DJ Herz is listed to make his first major league appearance since September 2024 following Tommy John surgery, and River Ryan is listed to debut for Detroit after arriving from Los Angeles in the Tarik Skubal deadline trade. Both are projected rather than confirmed. Worth stating plainly, on a day when the model is silent anyway: a season-long model handles starters with no recent major league sample poorly, because the feature it leans on hardest simply is not there. This is a game where any model's number, Verdexed's included, deserves less weight than usual rather than more.

**Twins at Giants, 9:45 p.m. ET, Oracle Park.** San Francisco has been quoted near minus 128 with Minnesota near plus 106 and a total of 9. Bailey Ober and Landen Roupp are the listed projected starters. The Giants have been reported at 64-91 and the Twins at 72-83, which makes this the purest September filler on the schedule, and historically the spot where a season-long projection and an actual late-September lineup card diverge most.

What could go wrong

Every pitcher named above is projected rather than confirmed, and on September 21 that caveat carries more weight than it does in June. Four of the six clubs playing are eliminated, which is the standing invitation to rest a regular, shorten a start, or hand innings to a September call-up whose major league record is too short to model. Bullpen usage from the weekend is invisible in a moneyline. The reported records and wild card margins above come from previews and search summaries rather than a verified standings feed, and several are snapshots that may already have moved. Weather is live at all three parks and lands on totals first, with Oracle Park's evening marine air the usual suppressant on a number set at 9. The largest caveat remains the one at the top: with Verdexed's numbers unreadable, there is no independent opinion here to set against these prices, only the prices themselves.

Responsible play

**This is model output, not betting advice.** Verdexed publishes its model's probabilities and edges for informational and entertainment purposes only. Nothing here is a recommendation to place a wager, and no outcome is guaranteed, even the model's highest-confidence picks lose regularly.

**You must be of legal betting age in your jurisdiction** and located where sports wagering is legal to bet. Sports betting is not available everywhere; know and follow the laws where you are. Never bet more than you can afford to lose, and never chase losses.
