Tkachuk's fantasy profile has always been elite in multi-category leagues: goals, shots, hits, penalty minutes and power play time, all at volume. What he lacked in Ottawa was an elite center and an elite power play.

The practical draft advice: Tkachuk should be drafted a full round or more ahead of where his Ottawa production suggests, particularly in leagues that count hits and penalty minutes. In standard points leagues the adjustment is smaller but still real, because the assist opportunities alongside Barkov did not exist on his previous roster.
